Alzheimer’s & Teen Caregivers

Alzheimer’s & Teen Caregivers

When we started Memory Ball in 2011, one of our goals was to help people affected by early-onset Alzheimer’s. At that time, the majority of people our age (early 20s) only knew about Alzheimer’s through Rachel McAdams’ character in the Notebook.

Throughout the past few, short years, we have been fortunate to meet more and more young caregivers and connect with them on a personal level. Through meeting one another, we’ve been able to to feel less alone as Alzheimer’s caregivers.

This is why we are so thrilled to see our very own Claire Poirier be interviewed by the CBC. Please have a read of the article and learn about the unique challenges facing some 1.2 million caregivers aged 15-24.
