    Brain Healthy Resolutions

Folks – Congratulations! You’ve officially made it through nearly half-way of your first full week back to work post-holiday festivities. At this time of the year especially, I find myself reflecting on the experiences and lessons learned from the year past and all that we can look forward to in the upcoming year. The mystery of what will transpire in 2017 is positively exhilarating. One experience that I know I’m already looking forward to…

    Early Days At The Palais

During the late 1940’s my Nan, Gerry Stanford, spent much of her Friday and Saturday evenings at various Dance Halls in Toronto. At that time she lived on Queen Street in the east end and took what she calls a long but easy streetcar ride all the way to Roncesvalles where she’d hop off on Fridays and Saturdays to meet friends and head to popular Dance Hall, the Palais Royale. As we approach our 4th annual Memory Ball taking place at the gorgeous venue new to our event, my Nan recollects on some of her time spent at the “Palais”, back when it was a public dance hall. Get Workout Ready for Memory Ball with Christie Preston’s Workout

Christie Preston of Preston Fitness and the Beauty and the Bod Blog has been a longtime supporter and friend of Memory Ball. Christie is a stellar personal and group trainer who promotes healthy habits and exercise as a way to live a better life — and trust us when we say, her enthusiasm is infectious. Not only that, but Christie has a very positive view on working out, she believes in balance. We love her because she won’t make us feel badly about having a cupcake or 2, but… she may make us do extra burpees. We hope you love this video as much as we love working out with Christie.
