AND THE TOTAL AMOUNT RAISED AT MEMORY BALL 2017 IS…

It’s that time of the year  – spring has sprung, patio season has begun, and it’s time for the BIG Memory Ball reveal! We are absolutely thrilled to announce the success of the 6th Annual Memory Ball presented by Feature Foods. With your support, we raised a grand total of $100,000 for the Alzheimer Society of Toronto! That’s right, we raised ONE-HUNDRED-THOUSAND dollars this year! We could not have done this without all of those who came out to our 6th annual event and could not be more impressed by your generosity, enthusiasm, (stellar dance moves) and continued support! Memory Ball was held on Saturday, April 1, 2017, at the…

A Love Letter to Memory Ball

My Alzheimer’s story may have already been told, you might already know it’s a disease that has affected my mother and grandfather. You may already know it changed my family beyond anything I was prepared for, all before turning 20. One thing that might not be overly clear is how grateful I am to have had the opportunity to be a part of Memory Ball, and how appreciative I am of the ability to give back to the Alzheimer Society of Toronto. Memory Ball has provided me with countless opportunities for personal growth and therapy. I will be forever grateful to the original girls (O.G.’s) for their belief and action.…

    #GivingTuesdayCa

It’s officially #GivingTuesdayCa, and so we would like to invite you to give this blog post a quick read and let us know how you plan to give a little today! — “We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give.” – Winston S. Churchill Now that we have Black Friday and Cyber Monday under our belts (or perhaps out of our wallets is a more realistic description), we move on to what was once considered the terribly anticlimactic Tuesday, November 29th. But this year, it doesn’t have to be just ANY Tuesday; in many jurisdictions, including our beloved true north strong and free, it is #GivingTuesdayCa. What…

    Memory Ball Total Raised 2016

It’s time for the big reveal! We are ecstatic to announce the success of the 5th Annual Memory Ball presented by Feature Foods.  With your support, we raised $115,000 for the Alzheimer Society of Toronto! Memory Ball was held on Saturday, April2 at the historic Palais Royale Ballroom, with MC Amanda Logan of Z1035. For our 2016 event, we enhanced the overall event experience by adding many new types of entertainment. Performers included long-time Memory Ball supporters Sax 4th Avenue, and some new talent, DJ Alex Tribe and DJ Guillaume Viau. Guests were treated to live watercolour portraits by artist Beckie di Leo, snaps in an animated GIF photo booth from #BLKBX, a…

    How I’ll Remember You

Young Caregivers Read Letters To Their Parents With Alzheimer’s Every year at Memory Ball, we want to make sure everyone knows why they’re attending our event. Yes, Memory Ball was the party of the year, with an animated-GIF photo booth, watercolour portrait artist Beckie di Leo, an unreal silent auction and raffle, cooler than cool DJs Alex Tribe and Guillaume Viau, burritos and of course our sexy sax band, Sax 5th Avenue. But, what’s most important about Memory Ball is raising awareness of Alzheimer’s disease. Without awareness, we can’t vanquish this terrible disease. This is why we had a Wall of Memories, where we asked guests to contribute photos of loved ones affected…
