AND THE TOTAL AMOUNT RAISED AT MEMORY BALL 2017 IS…

It’s that time of the year  – spring has sprung, patio season has begun, and it’s time for the BIG Memory Ball reveal! We are absolutely thrilled to announce the success of the 6th Annual Memory Ball presented by Feature Foods. With your support, we raised a grand total of $100,000 for the Alzheimer Society of Toronto! That’s right, we raised ONE-HUNDRED-THOUSAND dollars this year! We could not have done this without all of those who came out to our 6th annual event and could not be more impressed by your generosity, enthusiasm, (stellar dance moves) and continued support! Memory Ball was held on Saturday, April 1, 2017, at the…

    #GivingTuesdayCa

It’s officially #GivingTuesdayCa, and so we would like to invite you to give this blog post a quick read and let us know how you plan to give a little today! — “We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give.” – Winston S. Churchill Now that we have Black Friday and Cyber Monday under our belts (or perhaps out of our wallets is a more realistic description), we move on to what was once considered the terribly anticlimactic Tuesday, November 29th. But this year, it doesn’t have to be just ANY Tuesday; in many jurisdictions, including our beloved true north strong and free, it is #GivingTuesdayCa. What…

Volunteer Spotlight: Victoria Ludwig & Thomas Gaylor

#WaybackPlayback – A Victoria Ludwig & Thomas Gaylor Production On Saturday, February 21, TOTA Lounge hosted the Second Annual Wayback Playback night in support of Memory Ball and the Alzheimer Society of Toronto (AST). Despite the extreme cold and falling snow, 100 avid party-goers and J.Lo & Ja Rule enthusiasts danced their heart outs at this packed Queen West venue.   External Memory Ball events like this one have been major successes adding thousands of dollars to the bottom line, for which, we are hugely grateful. This year, Wayback Playback earned just shy of $1,500! With Memory Ball around the corner, the YPAA wouldn’t be able to have nights like this without the complete support, planning…

And the 2014 Memory Ball Total Amount Raised Is…

Every year, we (Young People Against Alzheimer’s – YPAA) look forward to this moment and to this announcement, sometimes with knots in our stomachs. Will we reach our goal? Will we be able to make a difference? After an exceptionally successful two years, raising $21,000 in our first year and $35,000 in our second year, we gave ourselves the lofty goal of $45,000 in our third year so that our overall three-year total would be $100,000. We asked ourselves if we could do it. Well, not only have you helped us achieve our goal but you have helped us exceed it. By $20,000. That’s right, we’ve raised SIXTY-FIVE-THOUSAND dollars for the Alzheimer…
